The Status 2 features a super durable M5 aluminum frame and robust alloy wheels. Sturdy suspensions, powerful brakes, and reliable drivetrain options complete these models for smooth riding and tackling big jumps with excellent braking capability. They are not for those who count gramsthey are for riders who push boundaries and go beyond. The Specialized Ride Dynamics team has developed the kinematics and refined the geometry to provide a snappy and lively bike, suitable for both technical singletracks and jumping down a set of stairs. Each STATUS 2 model is equipped with a flip chip (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that allows the rider to precisely adjust the frame geometry based on the desired riding style or terrain. The bikes are shipped in the high position, but by turning the flip chip, the bottom bracket is lowered by 8mm and a more relaxed head angle is created. Loosening them: the bottom bracket is lowered by 8mm and the head tube angle will be more relaxed by half a degree.
