As the ultimate trail bike, the Stumpjumper 15 finds the perfect mix of efficiency and optimal shock force management. For the anti-squat on the Stumpjumper 15, Specialized has found a balance between the Stumpjumper and the Stumpjumper EVO, as both had excellent pedaling characteristics. The geometry of this bike offers great capability when needed, agility in tight sections, and efficiency uphill. The wide cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and cornering control. The low bottom bracket, relaxed head angle, and optimized fork offset promote stability even on technical terrain. The Stumpjumper 15 perfectly integrates geometry adjustment, making it the most customizable trail bike ever. Six distinct geometry settings allow you to fine-tune performance for any style and terrain. The head angle and bottom bracket height can be precisely adjusted to ensure stability or clearance. You can make a frame as stiff as you want, but you have to be careful not to go beyond a certain limit. To feel one with the bike, a certain degree of programmed flexibility in the frame is needed. The front and rear triangle have been designed as a unit that needed to meet certain stiffness goals suitable for trail riding. Models with traditional springs have a mullet setup. All models, in sizes S1 and S2, come equipped as mullet to ensure a geometry suitable for shorter statured bikers. With aftermarket links, you can choose between large wheels both front and rear, or you can use a 27.5" rear wheel for a more responsive and playful ride. Whatever you choose, the geometry is not affected. The SWAT 4.0 compartment on the Stumpjumper 15 increases space in the downtube, an innovation we are pioneering. It is the most practical and weather-resistant integrated system ever made.
