Super Lightweight Aluminum: We use 6061-grade aluminium in our bikes. It's fantastic material. Strong yet light, weatherproof and super robust. Its also a responsive material transferring more power from the pedals to the wheels. In real terms, this means its easier to pedal further for longer helping little ones practise their newly acquired skills for longer before fatigue kicks in.
Geometry to get kids moving: With kid-friendly geometry, this bike prioritises comfort and control, so young riders avoid quick-tired legs, sore arms, and awkward descents. Weve given the Belter short rear stays for manoeuvrability. Arelaxed head angle to safely roll over bumps and a precisely chosen handlebar position, high enough to be comfortable but low enough to optimise uphill pedal efficiency.
Little Lever, Big stopping Power: The Belter features powerful, age specific Tektro V brakes with ultra short reach levers and light-pull actuation, making braking easy even for the smallest hands. Braking feedback is smooth and responsive, helping little ones learn what smooth stopping feels like, right from the start. The all-aluminium lever construction ensures the brakes arent at risk should the bike be dropped to the ground.
Wheels that reset expectations: The Belter wheelset is built for sustained performance, helping little legs travel further and cope with more obstacles over and again. Coupled with super lightweight aluminium rims and cartridge bearing throughout, you can look forward to more of the riding you love, and less of the maintenance you dont.
Tyres that won't throw them off track: The Belter runs 2, fast rolling tyres as standard, so that developing riding skills is made easier, safer and more enjoyable than the 1.5" tyres typically found on kid's bikes. Their extra volume and grip provide added control over the lumps and bumps and give the cushioning that makes riding more enjoyable.
Touchpoints that elevate control: Every one of The Belters touchpoints, be that the bars, saddle, pedals or grips has been anatomically designed to properly fit and function for super small riders. Ritchey Logic have been at the forefront of component design for the past 50 years.
