The carbon fork is a part of a clean integrated front end that can also accommodate a Fox 32 SC AX Suspension fork if purchased separately and replaced. The Integrated Cockpit System (ICS) also features gravel-specific stem dimensions and internal cable routing to keep cables housed and out of sight. Integrated protection is a huge perk of the URS due to the threat of mud, rocks, and other obstacles that can bang up your frame on your more adventurous days. The fork dropouts, downtube, and chainstays all have integrated protection that stays close to the frame. These points are the most likely to receive damage, but they will be safe with these discreet protection points.
